The Mile Square Multisport Facility is a new indoor recreation facility in Mile Square Regional Park, Fountain Valley, CA. The facility houses a gymnasium with badminton courts and ping pong tables, a storage room, and a servery within a 10,000 SF tensioned fabric membrane structure.  The fully air-conditioned gymnasium features a wood sports floor. The facility incorporates energy saving design strategies including a highly insulated building envelope, LED lighting, and an energy efficient air conditioning system.  A wide zone of native and drought tolerant landscaping encircles the facility to blend in with the park setting and to provide a display of seasonally changing colors.
