Bluff Park, Salt Creek Beach Picnic Shelter Replacement

Dana Point, California

The design of three beach-side picnic shelters includes the use of a new type of silica—treated decay and fire resistant wood as a sustainable alternative to environmentally toxic wood preservatives. Other materials include sustainably forested weather resistant Port Orford Cedar beams and pre-cast fiber reinforced concrete column covers.
